DO NOT PUT PASSENGER VEHICLE TIRES ON A VANAGON !!!!!!

A good tire --- and I have them on my 88 GL --- is the Michelin XCA
205/75R14, Load Range D, 6 ply sidewall- 8 ply on the road, 65 PSI. Very
good 14 inch tire for the Vanagons. The 75R will make it the tiniest bit
bigger than standard 205's  but is fits nicely and there is no problem
with rubbing or what have you, even with a full load.

The XCA's are currently available from any Michelin dealer, but you may
have to get the m to look for it. My dealer said it didn't exist, but
when I pressed they conveniently "found" the tires. They are to be found
in the commercial truck tire division of Michelins catalogs. Those guys
didn't know where to look for it.

The XCA is a good tire. Highly recommend them ...........but they ain't
cheap!!!!!  But it is a strong, high quality tire. And where safety and
the family is concerned........my V-gon gets the best!!!!!
