I certainly don't want to start a Mac/Windows debate up here. I use
both, Windows for work and my iMac for fun.
But, the iPod now has over 50% of the MP3 market, and they are aren't
even shipping iTunes for Windows yet. I read that they make more profit
from an iPod than they do from a Mac, so I think they are really onto
something.
Some of the great things about a Vanagon camper is the excellent use of
space and the flexibility of vehicle uses. Camping, hauling stuff,
hauling passengers, and just driving to work makes it a great vehicle.
When I buy stuff to put in the Vanagon, I always think small. By buying
small things, I can put more different things in.
With my iPod, I can put 7500 songs in my pocket (or in a VW bug cup
holder). That's a heck of a lot of CDs. Suddenly, I can listen to
anything that I own, while driving or camping. Small size with great
flexibility.
