Sure Ben I got mine up to 70 with the 1.6. With Careful planning an open schedule and a clear road and a bit of a tailwind I managed to do 0-60 in less then 2 days a couple times. :oP JT 82 Dieselfant II -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com]On Behalf Of Ben T Sent: Wednesday, July 30, 2003 3:06 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Want to test drive some diesel vanagons - Seattle

Clearly TomC has been in a 16td stock and/or 1.9td converted ones. I cruised at 70mph in the 1.6td doka (stock .486 <?> gears). 90mph in the 1.9TD doka (aircooled trans). Anything above those numbers and the noise gets numbing. BenT |
