>Is there a trick for changing the antenna? I have replacement from bus depot. If it is a passenger side mount I can tell you, since I just replaced mine last night. 1) Open Glove box Empty box 2) Slide off black plastic straps on outer top edges of box, box will now flip down to the floor. 3) reach up to antenna and either ( a) unscrew connector and pull cable out -saves cable, but mine connector was rusted making this impossible. b) yank on cable pulling it out (severing it c) cut cable 4)Using 19mm deep socket, unscrew large top nut 5)Using 10mm deep socket, unscrew bottom nut reverse to install antenna (except for cuting cable of course ;) ) I was able to reach where cable pullged into radio by pulling the ashtray out of the top of the dash. Only frustrating thing for me was that the new antenna did not work any better than my busted antenna! John Reynolds |
