Subject: Programable intermitent wipers frnt and rear.easy swap.
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hey all,

I ' ll bet one of the techies already posted this but I have had a wonderfull discovery. I was having some coffee this morning contemplating the universe within my westy and realized how nice it would be to have programmable intermitent wipers like my 95 jetta. I then realized that (knowing VW and how they work) I might be able to swap part for part. In the Jetta it is simply a relay that adjusts through the int. switch. so I swapped relays and Bang. I have programmable intermitents. I then put it on the rear slot and there it works too. SO I am a happy camper, driver.

the way it works is simple. you turn on the int switch and then let it cycle, then turn it off wait however long you want to have for an interim then switch back on. the relay "remembers" how long you switch it off for and then makes that the interim. It goes from like a blink of an eye to almost 10-15 seconds, I guesstimate.

for part # reference ... vw # 357 955 531 manfr # 05 0801 00 3KK 12V

out of a "95 jetta.

good luck Chris
