a window-AC unit under the rear seat!....what a great space and well out of the way! mounted on the floor for a better, lower center-of-gravity. Having 50 pound A/C unit on the westy's luggage rack makes the van extra top heavy...and not good in side-winds/cornering. I only wish there was pictures, i hate to cut through all that beautiful westy formica laminated wood...they arent making these westy's anymore:( Phil S. 84 Westy Tiico --- Ron Tipton <uther@DRAGONHOME.ORG> wrote: Bud, The installation that really impressed me was the one a list member (can't remember his name) had in the space beneath the rear seat. It was vented thru vents to the engine compartment (minor hole cutting) and the face of the unit appeared to be factory installed. Very neat job, hard wired into the Westy electric system. Of course this was with him all the time winter and summer. your preferences may vary. I had not thought of putting an AC under the seat. That is the best idea i've ever heard of. If anyone has any pictures or other info about this installation I would love to see it. Thanks, Ron
