My 5500 Btu will fit, although its a snug fit. i measured the space under the rear seat: 13.5" high and up to 18" deep(at the top) Behind the firewall is ample space for the back of the AC to stick out.....at least on my Tiico conversion. I think anything under 5000BTU is just not powerful enough to cool the westy to 70F. I saw a tiny 5000BTU at wallmart that fits 13" high window openings.
