I had not thought of putting an AC under the seat. That is the best idea I've ever heard of. If anyone has any pictures or other info about this installation I would love to see it. Thanks, Ron --------------- Clip -------------------------- There is a lot more to installing an A/C there than meets the eye. Get yourself an A/C unit. Buy it on a credit card so you can return it. Just physically try to place it so the exhaust over the condenser has good flow. How big of a hole do you want to cut? Do you think all that heat is going to go down in contrary to the law of heat rising? To reach anything like optimum air flow you'll need a nice big fan, noisy enough to keep you awake at night. A nifty looking control panel and output vents under your rear seat might impress you, not me. Then there is the ever present nemesis of all that condensation getting in and rotting your van. ----------------------- I saw a very nice installation on a slide out tray. It mounted through the side of the Westy and just pulled out like a dresser drawer, when the drawer was closed with the a/c unit on it you could hardly tell it was there except for the coils still visible from the outside of the van. The drawer consumed the space under the sink and blew out the non existent door below the sink.
