I had an old 79 loaf with canoes and kayaks stacked on top of it that got hit by 80mph straight line cross winds several years ago in Northern Arkansas as we were coming home from a whitewater race.. Wife used the T word and the kids instinctively did the duck and cover routine. The wife in the passenger seat thought I should sit in her lap to provide more ballast for the windward side of the Bus. Once the storm blew through, 2 miles down the road we saw a semi blown over on its side , fortunately headed the other direction. Yeah, it was a little scary.
