as a guy, haven't a clue. but there have been many complaints, from women, that barbie's idealized, which is to stay wildly unrealistic, form presents young girls with an impossible-to-achieve body image. at the same time, it's hard to imagine a toy that has been more successful in picking the parental pocket. you might as well own a racehorse as try to keep up with the million pieces of clothing huckstered to barbie owners. am
