You can use an antenna from a toyota which fits great. The one I used costs about $11 is all black and unscrews from the base. Just go to your local stereo shop and have them find something that fits. The Toyota antenna I used is a much much higher quality antenna than the VW vanagon one and at 25% of the price I can't imagine why anyone would use a VW antenna. The VW Vanagon ones are made of cheap thin hollow metal. They break easily and fail to retract when they get old and dirty, and are overpriced.
