Subject: Re: Visit

I have been a list member for several years, as well.

A few list members have stopped by over the years. Many non-members have also stopped. People can usually see the VW vans and trucks behind my barn and house when they go by on the state route that I live on. Several folks have stopped after they have encountered problems with their own van, thinking that I MUST be an expert on water-cooled VW vans, and maybe I would be able to help them (there has been as many as 14 Vans and doublecabs here - all mine). Indeed, some I have helped. A few times, the local tow truck drivers will direct a wayward van owner my way after their VW van or bus has broken down, usually on Interstate 90, which is nearby. Always glad to help when I can.

Having bought and sold several Vans and doublecabs over the years, some of the transactions with List members, a few long-lasting great friendships have developed. Everyone who I have sold a VW to has turned out to be good people (only one major jerk is the exception).

Anyway, anyone going through Northwest Pennsylvania is welcome to stop by. There are 11 acres of backyard behind the house, overlooking Lake Erie and occassionally we've played hosts to overnight VW "campers".

Michael
