Thanks Chuck,

You've hit the nail on the head with this one... i was just at a local bus specialist (BusLab, in berkeley, CA), and they just happened to have a 2.1 in a 1.9 sitting there, and lo, what did they show? Exactly what you describe. Fortunately, i have the complete 2.1 wiring harness, so i'll just be snipping off that connector and grafting it onto my 1.9 harness. The 2.1 switch setup is simply a part reduction of the earlier system - electrical function remains the same.
