This is very easy. You buy a new one ($35 from me and I have them in stock), and then remove your upper grille and the headlight assembly on the driver's side. You will see the old resistor (green lifesavers roll shaped thingy with wires coming out). It is held in place by two metal fingers that grab it on each end. Use a flat blade screwdriver to pry one of these fingers away from the resistor. It will come loose. Now unplug it and then plug in the new one and snap it into place. Replace everything you took off and you are good to go.

Hope this helps, Thanks, Ken Wilford John 3:16 http://www.vanagain.com http://www.strictlyvwauctions.com Phone: (856)-327-4936 Fax: (856)-327-2242

My radiator fan quit working on low speed. It's a 89 Westy with AC. Been briefly through the archives. Can anyone give me advice on replacing the resistor? The high speed works fine but no low when the AC is on. Thanks, Roger Van Till 89 Westy
