Subject: fuel tank problem/ oil light issue ?!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi everyone, the trip to Limestone, ME for IT went well. And the show rocked. But on the way up I had a few issues that I'm hoping someone can anwser for me. Something is definitly off with my fuel system. I had to stop for gas alot, my fuel guage would read almost empty, but when I filled it at the station it would only fit like 4 gallons. Thats when I realized I had a problem. I decided to go by miles then instead of the gauge so we wouldn't have to keep stopping, I figured that I could go at least 100-110 miles on a fillup so thats what I went by. At one point I think the tank guage was reading better, cause I was able to make it like 130 miles. I consulted my manual and it said that I have a 17 gal tank, with a 10 gal backup or something. Even when I've run out of gas once at a friends house though, I could only fit like 7 gal or something like that. What can be going on here??? Weird.

The other thing is while driving home from school last night my oil light began to come on. It wasn't bright, maybe medium power, then it got dimmer and went out. I had literaly just checked the oil at school, and put like half a quart in, and the level was fine, like in the middle of the dipstick. I had only been driving for like 20 min. What could that have been, it's never done it before. Does the oil light sense anything than the oil level??

I appreciate all you guys help, thanx, Tracy 85' GL "Ripple" 65' Splitty
