Eric,

It will make you sick to discover that we have a lot of practically rustfree Vanagons (and some Syncros) which meet the same fate simply because they are worth more in pieces to a partsyard than as a whole. Just this week, my parts guy cut-up a perfectly undamaged 85 Vanagon just because it was an automatic. Worth about $800 intact to him. Worth about $3K in parts not counting the body.

And no I do not recall the Pittsburgh Water Story. I only brought up the Syncro killer story because Otmar laughs about it whenever he talks about it. Noone is upset about it. That's what I call Otmar whenever I run into him.
