I can see it allowing more leg room in the bed. My partner is 6'4", and his feet definitely hang over. This way, he could have his head pointing to the front, making it easier to get in and out. We were thinking of finding something sort of like this. I'm not sure we'd order it for quite awhile yet, if at all, but we've pondered it.
