I have it as standard practice to always fill up my gas tank at a very slow rate, specially if it is bone dry. Pumping gas really fast in a bone dry tank will stirr up all the crud in the bottom of the tank and will eventually end up...Yup you guessed it, Fuel filter or clogged injectors!
