Jesse and Monica: I haven't seen the exact book your post refers to, but I have a similar book by Brooklands for the 1979-1988 Vanagons. The Brooklands books are compilations of car magazine road tests from when the vans were new. There are articles from US magazines like Car and Driver and Road and Track as well as from British, and (rarely) Australian publications. This can give you a look into vans that were never offered in your home country. It also gives an idea of how the Vanagon stacked up next to its contemporary competition. |
