California lost a class action lawsuit and had to refund that $300 fee. Check into it because you're owed some money....

I had an interesting expereince moving to CA on this subject. My Nissan truck was a 49 state vehicle, and I had to pay a $300 one time exdemption. The truck still wouldn't pass smog, because the PO had welded a piece of pipe where the cat converter went! $1000 later my $2500 Nissan was CA legal!
