I recently purchased a 87 Westy. It has been thirty years since my last VW Camper. I used my Hoover Steamvac with Hoover chemicals and cleaned all the carpeting and upholstery. It did a great job except for an area on one side of the seat which did turn brown. I'm guessing it was an old spill. If it were the foam why did it only get brown in one area?

We travelled all over Europe in our camper back in 70-74 while stationed in Greece with the Navy.
