Hi Wes ---- on my '84, if i've completely emptied the tank I have to 'prime' the pump. When you fill the tank it can push air up the line and the pump won't work. The cure is simple --- loosen off the clamp at your pump inlet (under the shelf under the sink in the 84's) a bit until you see a trickle of water ---- then tighten it up again. You are now primed and ready.

Cheers, Doug

I just bought an 84 westy but have been unable to get the sink working except when plugged in to an outside water source, in other words, it will

not pump from the tank. The pump seems to be working fine. Is there a valve somewhere? I am just getting to know the van, so any help would be great!
