Subject: Pre-mature high-speed fan
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I've recently purchased a '90 Carat. The high speed on my engine cooling fan seems to "kick in" prematurely, as when running at freeway speeds on a warm (but not oppressively hot) day. When this occurs, the temp. gauge seems to be running at about it's mid-point, and no where near the "blinking light" range.

I'm wondering if this is normal, or if any of you have experienced a similar situation.

Thanks,

Fin Beven Pasadena, CA '84 Vanagon GL, camper conversion '90 Carat, camper conversion-in-progress.
