from what i remember on my 82, its the same way. the 2 doughnuts (bushings) "fill" the larger hole in the radius arm (one goes in from top, one in from bottom), the metal sleve goes insde the 2 bushings, and the link then goes through the inside of the sleeve. there are also 2 washers that go on top and bottom of the bushings. then you bolt it up from the bottom.

>Hello - I have a broken drop link and upon removing the item initially found a 1/2 inch dia. tube in the radius arm that the drop link bolts thru. The tub was rusted - I took a look at Bentley and saw that there is supposed to be a metal tube that sits there between the two rubber doughnuts. So, I belted the tub and it falls out. However, the resulting hole in the radius arm is now about 2cm diameter. What I can't work out is whether the radius arm has corroded badly or whether a new replacement 'tube' will fit into the 2cm dia hole i.e. all is well. I have a couple of photos' that I can email if anyone is interested and feels qualified to comment. > >At then end of the day I'm trying to establish if my radius arm has the correct sized hole or whether it is excessively corroded. Looking a the Bentley book, the hole does look 'big' but it not a very clear picture. > >Steve >
