Hey gang!

My plans for the Fineline Bug-In at Bandimere Speedway (Denver, CO) totally fell apart yesterday. I ended up not getting out there until about 1:00pm. I saw Zoran's Vanagon from the grand stands while checking out a little drag racing. I didn't see Joe T.'s van, or Joe T. (sorry I missed you man). I did get to meet Simon who had his Audi 3a engined Syncro Westy and a bunch of parts in the swap meet. Very nice to meet you Simon, and I hope to pick your brain some more about your engine swap. Needless to say, I did not even drive my 1987 that is for sale. Instead I drove my 1989 Blue Carat, you may have seen it in the upper lot, maybe not. Did anyone see the burgundy Carat with the Ronal alloys in the upper lot? It had Fineline graphics on it, and probably belongs to one of those guys/gals. I got a bunch of pictures from the show, and I would love to share them with everyone. Once I get them all scanned in I can send you all a zip file, or if someone could host them somewhere, we could all see them at our leisure. I only saw 2 Vanagons in the Car show area. A very nice blue/gray Syncro, and a silver 2wd. Anyone know who that was? I also stopped by another swap meet Vanagon (brown/gold Syncro) with a Audi 3a motor in it, but Mom said it was her son's van, and he was out walking around. I did not make it back to meet him, if that in deed was one of you guys. If not, anyone know who that was?

I hope to get a Colorado Vanagon group going one of these days. I would like to try to do a few get togethers every year, and maybe a few "garage days" for anyone needing or wanting help with some kind of upgrade/add on with their Vanagon. I will be in touch about this, my wife and I are expecting our 2nd baby in a few weeks, so look for this next year sometime.

Happy Motoring!

Andy Yarnell Lakewood, CO 1989 Vanagon Carat Wolfsburg Edition 1987 Vanagon GL Wolfsburg Edition (For Sale)

PS: If you live in Colorado and want to be part of the Colorado Vanagon Group, Pmail me and I will add you to my mailing list.
