Well, it was bound to happen. When I started living in my Westy, I would get a motel every three days for the shower (and TV!) Then I devolved to using a campground with a shower every three days. NOW I try to avoid paying for a place to sleep entirely, and get a shower without paying to camp. A good way to do this in S. Cal. is to park near a state beach with camping, walk up the beach to the showers in the park, take a shower and leave the same way. Anyway, last night at 4 am the police were pounding on my van, telling me to "move along" that the unsigned beach I was on (just N. of Leucadia in S. Cal) was "not for camping". Boo Hoo, I've camped at this spot at least 20 times. I considered it my beach house. Guess I'll shuffle over to Wal-Mart! This is my first roust in 3 months of Westy life.
