i've got a similar problem: my rear right ashtray gets full of water when it rains. i think. might be when i try to use the rear wiper washer. ;) so you might want to check the rear hoses for the wiper washer ... might be squirting and leaking, especially if you use the rear wiper washer when it rains.

other than that, my suspects are two: - one of my rubber grommet-thingies that cover the wires to the rear hatch is rotted and has a large hole in it. might be water coming in that way when it rains.

- the right rear window seal/gasket. although i can't for the life of me see where it's coming in that way. i did find some drops once on the liner fabric beneath the window on the inside. so it's still a suspect.
