How much product did you use? How alkaline is it? This might be a form of "browning". If so, a cure would be to spray an acid rinse on the affected area. Something like a tblspn. of citric acid added to a quart of water, shake/stir well, and put into a hand sprayer (or you could just wipe it on with a sponge and gloved hand). Spray it on and observe for a minute or two. If it doesn't help, it won't hurt anything. Just don't over-wet the seat.
