Hi All, Just thought I would share a quick little fix to what can cause a lopping idle. About two years ago I installed an Equis brand cruise control that has been working really neat. It was also really easy to install. It hooks up to the coil like a tach. and measures coil impulses. Any ways a couple of weeks ago the cruise control started to work intermittently and I developed a high-low idle speed condition where it would change rpms of its own accord. It turned out to be a leak in the vacuum line running from the manifold to the cruise control! Easy fix to what can be a very elusive problem. --- Jeffory Schiebel --- jefforys@earthlink.net "Lord help me to be as great as my Dogs think I am" |
