There are always VW's in the yard when I drive by, so he must have a customer base. He's been there a long time. I got a Beetle hood from him when I was 16 (I'm 30 now). He gave me one price, I agreed, and removed the hood from his parts car. When I went to pay, he had a larger price. "What happened to the other price?" "If you don't want it, go put it back on." Since I was hard-up for the hood, and the price difference was fairly small, I paid and left. (I don't remember the prices - but I want to say $50 and $75 - it was a long time ago!) I have never gone back. Dan Brideau
