a neighbor just bought an '86 vanagon, his first vdub, in fair shape. he asked, "do these tend to run a little hot?" as an air-cooled guy, i spared him my opinion and lack of knowledge of the wasserboxer but asked him what his temp gauge was showing. he said the needle stayed roughly in the middle between hot and cold, and that a little red light in the temp gauge was not coming on. i said that sounded pretty good to me. is that a fair assessment? cheers, art '82 westy |
