So what exactly is the filling procedure? I know you take off
that yellow cap and hook up the hose but do you also have to
open the bleeder? Anything else?
Thanks,
Chris

>The correct measurement is when liquid propane begins to
escape through the bleeder valve (or maybe you have an auto-
stop valve?) during filling. Not sure of the exact gallons
this point is, but its either 2.4 (80% of 3 gallon) or 2.7
(90% of 3 gallon). The tank size is 3 gallon, but of course
you dont fill it completely. Assuming you are filling an
empty tank; 2 gallons is a safe fill stopping point so you
dont have any liquid propane accidents. My last fill, the
attendant wasnt watching and ran it up to 3 gallons and
liquid propane began spewing out the bleeder, he couldnt get
the fill hose disconnected nor get to the bleeder very
easily, with the large gloves on. Liquid -44 degree propane
continued to spew out all over the tank, the skid plate, and
the fill hose, for about 10 seconds. I much would have
rather he just stopped it at 2 gallons and avoided the mess
and situation.
