Hi Jorge,

I'm new to the Westy clan, but FWIW I've had plenty of 'mature' vehicles.
Regarding the grounding issue, baking soda solution is really only usefull
in areas corroded due to acid, which is usually just the battery terminals,
and sometimes other areas of the battery compartment if you've got a leaky
Duracell.  For other ground points, the best way is to thoroughly clean the
connector and the contact area, and preferably coat both surfaces with an
electrical contact grease.  It will a) improve the electrical conductivity
of the connection and b) help prevent future corrosion of the parts you just
cleaned.
