Subject: junkyard find...
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed

went to the local yard to find a headlight switch, they had an early wasserboxer (well half of one) that was missing most of the dash. no luck. it did have the big blue pad to cover the engine though.

they also had a late 80's (square headlights... whatever years that is) with roof-AC, complete everything (except exhaust) great blue captains chairs, blue door panels, good windshield, blue rear seat,

junkyard said $200 for the front chairs, rear seat, and 3 door panels (want to convert my icky brown to blue) and the windshield (i pull it all, except the windshield)

plus the blue pad out of the 1/2 van and i'd have a mostly blue Westy!

this blue one also had full (front, rear, center) floormats!!! custom fit, or factory/dealer. very nice.

is that a good deal? and... will non-westy vanagon front seats mount on the rotating westy things without a fuss?

mileage on this blue beauty reads 053,XXX....

rear bumper was mangled and the drivers side was dented. that's the only damage I saw.
