This sounds like a rusted together pressure plate/clutch disc.  Put in
1st gear and start it.
(helps if you are not pointing up hill or in the garage.) If this
doesn't work, start in neutral, get a push with engine running and
"slip" it into 2nd by matching the revs.
Drive it, strongly accelerating and backing off. Usually 2 or 3 cycles
will free the disc.
