I know this sounds stupid but how does one verify free gravity flow? My fuel pump has been making sounds for a while now and I've replaced both fuel filters. Do I need to drop my tank?

Doktor Tim <doktortim@ROCKISLAND.COM> wrote: A clogged filter or restriction from the tank will over stress a pump and kill it fast. Verify a clean filter and free gravity flow from the tank before installing a new pump. Also, if the tank is not vented properly, it will build a vacuum and add stress as well.
