ALL (emphasis intended) of the people in this area that I am aware of, who
still work on our vans, are in their late 40's, 50's or burned-out and in
their 60's. They were "trained" on these 20-30 years ago. I think it's
simply an economic deal for the dealers, and for these "old-timers". The $$
compensation dealerships would retrieve on the expense of training isn't
economically "good business". They can probably make somewhere in the
neighborhood of 5-10 times the revenue on maintenance of newer vehicles,
because of their "plethora", over the few older vans/fewer zealots (oops,
owners).
