I am considering also replacing the line from the filter to the engine to make it one
continuous piece of hose, or at least moving the joint from plastic->hose closer to the
front, where a leak is less likely to start a fire. A few months ago, the end of the
plastic tube slipped out of the hose at the joint just above the starter, spraying gas all
over the starter... The end of the plastic pipe has no "barb" on it to retain the hose.
Are these SS clamps supplied by Ken the oem crimp style? What size do I need? I
found a source for the correct 7mm hose locally, and a different source for various
size clamps, but how does one know the correct size from the OD of the hose? Any
cheap source of the crimping tool? Only one I could find was $35...
