Volks, I'm about to tow a Syncro "project vehicle" over several hundred miles with the front wheels off the ground on a "tow dolly" . I know my way around a 2WD Vanagon, but have never had the plea$$$ure of working on a S$$$$yncro. I know it would be better to flat-bed it, but that would be WAY too expensive. My question: what's best / easiest? 1) removing the two rear drive shafts (24 generally inaccessible triple-square bolts); or 2) disconnecting the (? wachacallit) driveshaft that goes to the front grear box?; or 3) other solutions. Any caveats or suggestions welcome. Thanks Fred aka Bleu Schtroumpf |
