I have a nice 86 Vanagon that after a few problems early on has turned out to be a pretty sweet van. I have gotten the bug to get a Westie and would be interested in input as to specific things to look at when purchasing a Westie, using it as a semi daily driver, east coast price ranges, automatic vs stick, should I look for a Syncro or is 2wd just fine? Any info would be appreciated. I've seen a nice one advertised it's an 86, 110,000 miles, looks like it's in good shape, heads were redone, no rust. I plan to use it for camping obviously but not deepest, darkest off road stuff. Thanks
