Hey all, I just bought my first Westy ('86, full camper), but won't be taking delivery of it until November when I'll be driving it x-country from VA to Sacramento. However, since I've never owned a Westy before, I'm completly ignorant of all the little in's & out's of them. I'd like to have a little hands-on familiarity before undertaking this trip. I've been reading as much as I can, and I'm reasonably proficient with a wrench. But I'm hoping that there is a list member who'd be available to take a couple hours some afternoon and help a rookie out. Preferably someone with a full-camper that could show me the little tricks, like just where to kick the fridge when it won't light, etc... =) I'm in Sacramento, so would prefer someone nearby. I also end up in Fresno many weekends, and could possibly meet there. I'm happy to provide beverages. =) Cheers, JD PS: Any "you gotta have one of these with you in case...." tips (or the like) would be appreciated. |
