Subject: PRICE REDUCED 80 Westy and 82 Partsmobile - Massachusetts
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

Hi everyone,

My son is reducing the price on his 80 Vanagon Westy (Canadian model) which suffered a catastrophic engine failure and minor engine fire, as well as an 82 Vanagon partsmobile.

He's now asking $950 obo for both.

We have the original engine from the 80. It ran well, but needs a crank-pulley oil seal. The blown engine was a Bob Donalds rebuilt that now has a hole in the case. There's a new clutch and heater boxes on the blown engine, and I would imagine the heads and possibly the pistons are re-usable.

There are enough parts with the 82 to get the engine compartment straightened out. A couple of weekend's work and the 80s a runner! Its in good shape interior and exterior for an 80. Here's the web page the PO had last year if you want to see pix: http://home.nc.rr.com/gocindy/van.html

The 82 also has a weekender seat. The 82 donated its engine as a core for the Bob Donalds rebuild...

The 80 has a brand new battery, brakes, etc...

Drop me an email if you are interested. We need to get rid of these two vanagons soon.

Ric
