Hi Randy!
When I replace the engine n my 88 GL I replaced ALL hoses in the engine
compartment - both fuel and water lines.
A number of our list vendors carry the fuel lines and water hoses, and
sell the iindividual pieces or complete kits. I happened to have gotten
my fuel line kit from Ken Wilford at http://www.vanagain.com. I made
sure it included all injector lines and new clamps as well. His kit
does. Also got my water lines from there as well. I think Ron Salmon at
http:/www.busdepot.com also has these. Not much difference in materials
from one to the other vendor but the price may vary just a bit, as well
as speed of service. Thee are other list vendors as well. Got to
www.vanagon.com to see more of our list vendors.
As a matter of interest I also replaced my cat, muffler, and coolant
expansion tank when I changed the engine, and got those from Ron Salmon
at Bus Depot.
So far as OEM hose clamps go, you should bite the bullet and get a pair
of those special hose clamp pliers. It's worth it. Makes life easier.
