I love folks on the lists - already lined-up a ballast resistor.

I also need a Vanagon fuel pump, if one can be had for a decent price. Local yard wants $75 - anybody got/know of one that isn't near death for meaningfully less, say ~$50 (since freight's involved)? Going into a '90 in case the '80-'85 units differ in pressure or capacity.

Would love new, but even my great local parts house wants $170 - anybody found & tried an affordable alternative to OEM?

Also, still hunting for 4 pieces of fiberglass body molding: need the 3 pieces to make a rear bumper, and the small (ubiquitously-missing) piece behind the slider door. I'll buy single pieces and color doesn't matter.

Thanks, David Portland, OR (97213)

FWIW, I've got exhaust pipes, mufflers, a PS pump, an alternator available, and many extra new belt sets, all from '86+ Vanagons.
