Yes! There are plastic lines from the pump to the firewall and from the engine back to the tank. These don't need to be replaced. Ken's kit was enough for me to replace everything between the plastic lines. The SS clamps are perfect.

> Ok, I have talked with Ken at Vanagain. He said that the kit that he has is just for the lines in the engine compartment. The kit actually looks like a 10' piece of hose and clamps. The ones that I need to replace are the lines under the van. From the gas tank to the fuel pump, then to the filter, from the filter up to the engine. I have not checked the ones in the engine compartment. I wil do that this week. As for the ones under the van, they are several sizes. Anyone know what sizes I need and how much? Seems like I should be able to just get cheaper hose at the local parts store and clamps. I just need to know what sizes. Thanks all.

What the heck am I missing here? I've replaced engine compartment fuel lines in my air-cooleds and I don't think I could use more than a foot or so. When I've see that "10' " figure I've always thought that was a kit designed for running all the way from the tank, through the engine, and back to the tank. Do you water-cooled guys really need 10 feet of fuel hose in the engine compartment. --------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Young '81 Vanagon Lafayette, CA 94549 '82 Westfalia ---------------------------------------------------------------
