It's really impossible - unless you have a machine shop - to do a comprehensive rebuild of your heads yourself.

The part is a Cylinder Head Gasket, part 039101343B, available at VWFLAPS and online vendors.

VW did away with this gasket, see http://www.dolphinsci.com/techbull.html , but it's still commonly used and included in gasket sets. --------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Young '81 Vanagon Lafayette, CA 94549 '82 Westfalia --------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeremy Proffitt" <rebeltech@COX.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2003 12:27 PM Subject: 2.0L Head Question
