I'm afraid I do mean the drain hole...sorry about the confusion, I'm still sort of figuring out what all that stuff in the engine compartment is. Thanks to everyone for thier help so far. I think I'll try the 1/2 inch tap and see if I can get some thread back before I go making the hole bigger.
