I made a special "tool" for the removal and install of this thing. I went and bought a cheapie 13mm deep socket and then cut a long slot down one side with a rod saw. (A rod saw is one of those "cuts in any direction" blades that fit into a standard hacksaw frame.) The deep socket along with the slot allows you to get the working end of the socket down on the hex of the sensor while the slot allows you to feed the wire out the side. --------------------------------------------------------------- Tom Young '81 Vanagon Lafayette, CA 94549 '82 Westfalia --------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "ed maikranz" <fasteddy64@YAHOO.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Thursday, August 28, 2003 1:06 PM Subject: Temp sensor removal
