Subject: SoBig Virus
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

This virus is really clogging the internet, where mail is concerned. I'm on on three lists, get about 100-150 e-mails a day, and since the virus has been let loose, it has better than doubled.

Fully 50% or better of all my mail now is SoBig generated crap. It has slowed my machine down. Reason being that I have set filters that automatically send it all to trash and deletes it. But the process has slowed down loading of the mail. This thing has really got me PO'ed. I would like to throttle the person who dreamed this one up.

In the Bad Ol' Days of the Deep South a technique was developed in which the offender - if male - was attached to a tree stump on the woods via a nail through a certain appendage of the anatomy, given a dull straight razor, and then to enhance the decision making process the stump was set on fire. Ocassionally they got the right person. Occasionally the punishment fit the crime. In my book it would be approriate here.

Sorry, just had to vent this morning! 205 e-mails at first light, 105 SoBig's trapped and to the trash for deletion. Double the time ot download.

Regards,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
