I would take a trip down to the used car lot and see how much you can get for it. Avoid heartbreak and financial ruin. Smart people sell their Vanagons and buy a boat. They're cheaper.

The prefered method is to drive a Bentley and get a VW manual.

Well damn, OK... get the operators manual and figure out how to work everything. From loading propane to lighting the fridge, to putting the top down without ripping the fabric. Better to know these things sitting in your driveway rather than in the middle of nowhere.
